Emergency Aid Funding

Emergency Aid Funding helps enrolled 91ÅÝܽ Institute of Technology (OSUIT) students who are close to graduation but have outstanding account Bursar balances.
Who is eligible?
You may qualify if you:
- Need 30 credit hours or fewer to graduate
- Are in good academic standing
- Owe at least $100 to the Bursar's office
How does it work?
- Goal: Help you become eligible to re-enroll and continue toward graduation
- Funding source: OSUIT institutional funds
- Selection process: First-come, first-served
- Application timing: Applications accepted throughout the semester
- Fund distribution: Awards are applied directly to your Bursar account

How to Apply
Application requirements:
- Must be an actively enrolled OSUIT student
- Complete the short online application
What happens after you apply:
- Confirmation: You'll automatically receive a confirmation email when your application is submitted
- Review period: Allow 14-17 business days for a response
- Decision notification: Check your Cowboy Mail regularly for updates
- If selected: You'll receive a fund offer letter that you must accept or decline within 14 days

- How often can I apply for Emergency Aid Funds?
Once per semester.
- How do I know if I qualify to receive Emergency Aid Funds?
All currently enrolled OSUIT students who are within 30 credit hours of graduation, are in good academic standing, and owe more than $100 on their Bursar account are eligible to apply for funds.
- How long does it take to apply?
The application only takes 10-15 minutes to complete. Students will need to be aware of the exact amount owed on their Bursar account before starting the application. Students should also check their Degree Works Degree Audit to make sure they academically eligible.
- If I have been a recipient of Emergency Aid Funds in the past, can I apply again?
You may apply twice during a full academic year. You are only eligible to receive emergency aid funds during twice during your time enrolled at OSUIT.
- How long does it take to find out if I will be able to receive Emergency Aid Funds?
14-17 business days.
- When do I need to accept my award funds?
Students must accepted their fund award via the notification email within 14 days (two weeks) from the date of the award offer. If they are not accepted, they will be considered declined and the award offer will expire.
